Hard Skills:
Typically has BE in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
7 or more years of advanced large scale programming experience in C , C++ and/or Java on Windows operating systems
Should have fair knowledge of Windows internals and Win 32 programming.
Should know multi-threaded programming
Demonstrated excellence in programming - this must include all aspects of SW development including requirements definition, SW design, on time implementation of complete solution, and extremely high quality. You need to take quality personally.
Solid knowledge of the Windows Architecture and Internals - The reality is that the OS internals layer is where we optimize our solutions. We need someone who recognizes there is more going on than the library call in the code. Someone who understands how the higher order language morphs into assembly and then underlying register instructions will find our work interesting.
Has substantial knowledge of networks, systems, and archiving processes.
Highly Desired Skills (Plus):
Strong candidates on File systems preferred
Strong candidates on Filter driver development preferred.
Knowledge of storage systems and technologies
Prior experience on HSM and messaging space preferred
Demonstrated experience from multi-OS environments. Our IDM products live on a host of operating systems and someone who has had to deal with the variances that exist between rival operating systems will love the challenge we face here and again will be of great interest to us here.
Demonstrated experience in the storage industry - the need is to recognize that storage is not a one-perspective paradigm, but rather is a multi-host heterogeneous OS multi-vendor melting pot of problems needing clean disciplined engineering solutions.
Soft Skills:
